Thank You Sam

After four remarkable seasons in charge, Sam Kiley has made the decision to step down as Head Coach at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

Sam took the reins ahead of the 2022/23 campaign and lead us to the Division 1 West Central title and promotion into the newly formed Championship West. The final day of the season, secured a double with a West Wales cup victory against Ammanford.

The following season brought even more success, with Sam leading the club to back-to-back promotions and into the Community Premiership.

In his third season, Sam took Bonymaen to new heights, during a historic and memorable campaign. Although the season ultimately ended in relegation, victories over Pontypridd and Merthyr will stick long in the memory.
Alongside this success, Bonymaen Athletic entered the national leagues, and had an unbeaten season.

Sam’s fourth and final season as head coach of Bonymaen, may be remembered as one of the clubs greatest.

A Championship West title, a double promotion with the Athletic side achieving back-to-back success, topped off with Sam’s final game as head coach. The clubs first ever Glamorgan Silver Ball.

Bonymaen RFC will always be indebted to Sam and his family for all of his hard work, commitment and sacrifice. He has lead his club through one of the most decorated and successful periods of Bonymaen’s history.

Thank you, Sam Kiley
