As another season comes to a close at Bonymaen RFC, we wanted to take a moment, on behalf of the committee, to thank every single person who has played their part in what has been one of the most successful and memorable years in the club’s history.
From our youngest Bony Bears taking their first steps into rugby, right through to our senior teams representing the badge with pride week after week, this season has shown exactly what Bonymaen RFC is all about — togetherness, passion and community.
There have been moments this year that will live long in the memory.
Our Senior Men created history by reaching their first ever Glamorgan County Silver Ball Final before going one step further and bringing the trophy home to Parc Mawr for the very first time with a fantastic victory over Tondu. Alongside that incredible achievement came league success and two promotions — a reward for the hard work, commitment and togetherness shown by players and coaches throughout the season.
Our Women’s Team once again continued to inspire, reaching the Road to the Principality Cup Final and continuing to compete with pride and passion at the highest level. The growth and strength within the women’s section continues to be something the whole club is incredibly proud of.
Across the club, there has been success at every level. Our Youth side lifting the Ospreys Shield, junior teams reaching finals, players earning representative honours and every age group continuing to grow is a huge reflection of the work being done behind the scenes by coaches, managers, volunteers and parents every single week.
What makes these achievements even more special is that this club is built on volunteers. The people opening up the clubhouse, marking pitches, washing kits, running events, coaching teams, serving behind the bar, fundraising and giving up countless hours for the badge are the heartbeat of Bonymaen RFC.
This season has also seen the club continue its work off the field — strengthening community links, improving facilities and working towards Platinum Accreditation as we continue building for the future.
To our players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, supporters and everyone who wears black and red with pride — thank you.
The memories made this season will stay with us for a long time, but the most exciting thing is knowing there is still more to come.
For now, enjoy a well-earned break and take pride in everything this club has achieved together this season.
